Seafever Lowchen Kennel is a small, home based kennel nestled among the pines along Lake Ponchartrain, north of New Orleans. We started in PWDs, and while not actively breeding and showing them, they will always hold a special place in our home. We pride ourselves with the integrity and dedication we commit to our breeding program. At Seafever Lowchen, we live by the old standard of "living for the dogs, not off the dogs". Our Lowchen live in our home and run among the pines and often wet mud of Southern Louisiana! We firmly believe in "letting dogs be dogs" . Seafever Lowchen are Naturally reared and we feed a variety of raw meats, vegetables, fruits and grains to our Lowchen. We selectively vaccinate our Lowchen on a limited basis and avoid all use of chemicals. Even our yard is organic! We are mentored by Dr. Glen Dupre (see links) who guides us in this gentle, natural approach to raising Lowchen. We feel our rearing practices insure our Lowchen puppies the best possible start in life. We are committed to breeding Lowchen not only lovely on the outside but healthy inside as well!

Seafever Kennel is committed to the philosophy that a Lowchen should be a dog and beloved family member first. We breed Lowchen on a limited basis, producing quality rather than quantity. We breed Lowchen primarily to compliment our own breeding program, occasionally allowing dogs out to show to committed dog fanciers or other Lowchen breeders that share our philosophies. We are adamantly opposed to the over production of Lowchen puppies for the sake of producing the most champions. A Lowchen's show career is a very small part of his overall life, and it is more important to find that forever home, than a temporary show home to just achieve another champion. A good breeding program does not have to breed litter after litter of Lowchen to accomplish quality. We feel our own Lowchen and breeding program speaks for itself with our accomplishments.

We do have Lowchen puppies available from time to time to select homes. Sometimes we have a waiting list, but a Seafever Lowchen reared Naturally is worth waiting for! All Lowchen pups are sold with health guarantees, contracts and spay-neuter agreements. Just call or email us for updates!

After a two year hiatus after the devastation of Katrina , Seafever Lowchen looks ahead to better times. Despite our limited showing since August of 2005, Seafever Lowchen continues to make a statement in the ring-- our beloved Haley , AKA CH Seafever's Angel WithN Attitude was BOW at the 2006 Lowchen Club of American National, WB at the 2006 Regional and received the only AOM at Westminster 2007. This year our Killian AKA CH Seafever's Killian Red was BOW at our 2007 LCA Nationals, WD at the Regional and finished his championship in quick fashion, taking breed twice from the classes. Not to be outdone, his littermate Scotch, finished a few weeks following. We currently have a young bitch, Lily, AKA CH Seafever's Fleur De Lis who completed her championship in 2007 as well and is being campaigned by her co-owner Ginger Aubert. As Lily matures we look forward to seeing more of her!
