CH Seafever's Angel WithN Attitude - "Haley"

Haley's show career was short but eventful! A month before the 2006 LCA National, Haley was introduced to the show ring. By the Nationals, needing only majors for her, we were hopeful. Little did we imagine that once again, Seafever would shine. Haley won BOW the first day at the LCA National for a five point major, followed the next day by another five point major by taking WB at the Regional. The third was most exciting for us for as her first day as a Special, Haley took the BOB over the breed winner of the LCA National who also happened to be the number one Lowchen in the country! With a suitcase full of show ribbons, Haley returned home to Louisiana, and although shown only on occasion, managed a Group 3 placement.

In January of 2007, Haley returned to the ring, heading to New York City to Westminster KC! Despite her limited experience in the show ring, she showed her heart out, getting the only Award of Merit in Lowchen.

Haley is a bit of a Cinderella story for Seafever Lowchen. She was sold to a breeder outside the country as a show prospect. When the breeder was not pleased with her at nine months, we gladly brought her home and placed her with neighbors. We allowed her to mature and determined she should be shown. Thankfully, we did not let this one get away!

Haley lives happily as a pet with our good neighbors. She returns to our home for visits to reunite with her pack. She was retired after Westminster.

We look forward to Haley's contributions in the whelping box. Sound of body, mind and spirt, her puppies should exhibit the same wonderful characteristics.

CH Seafever's Fleur De Lis - "Lily"
Lily is co-owned and presented by Ginger Aubert

CH Seafever's Fleur De Lis, AKA Lily, showed her incredible show spirit from birth. We knew this girl had potential with the same sassy attitude her dam Delta possesses. A natural born show dog, Lily lives the good life traveling with co-owner Ginger Aubert to dog shows, living amongst the humans in the trailer rather than in the rig with the other dogs. As she will tell you, she is NOT a dog! She literally rules the roost on the road and has quite a fan club among other handlers and judges. Lily is one of those dogs that just makes you smile and laugh no matter how bad her antics! Ginger is a lucky person to be owned by Lily. Just ask Lily.

We look forward to more from this girl as she matures.

Seafever's Designing Woman - "Delta"

Seafever's Designing Woman, aka Delta, bounced into our life 3 years ago in a two pup litter. She possesses the Southern charm, beauty and spunkiness of her namesake Delta Burke and character Suzanne Sugarbaker. She was shown only briefly as a pup, winning BOS at the 2003 Nationals, her first debut in the ring! She has taken an extended vacation from the ring due to her curiosity of a wasps' nest and the resulting shave down to ensure healing of her wounds. We look forward to her return to the ring within the year to complete her championship. We have no current plans to breed Delta after her title.

Seafever's Jolie Noir - "Jolie"

Seafever's Jolie Noir, aka Jolie, is currently our youngest dog in residence. In her second day of showing, at six months old, she wowed us and the judge by taking Best of Breed over specials for her first major! Jolie has the typical naughty spirit of her sire, Sultan, with the lovely head of her mother, Layla. At 12 inches, she is exactly what I had I hoped for from this breeding. She has lovely coat, nice dark eye and nearing two years old still maintains her black , glossy coat. She possess excellent movement and bone.

After the two year hiatus forced upon us all by Katrina, Jolie will be returning to the show ring in late 2007, early 2008. During her break, Jolie produce a promising litter of three male pups. Of those three, "Killian" was BOW and WD at the 2007 LCA Nationals and Regional as well as BOS in Sweeps at the National, all before the age of 9 months. He finished his championship three weeks later at Reliant. His littermate, Scotch finished his championship as well a few weeks later.

After a second brief show career, Jolie looks forward to retirement in the whelping box where she has shown much potential!

Ashford's Layla of Seafever, ROM - "Layla"

Layla AKA Ashford's Layla of Seafever, ROM laughingly referred to as "the Queen Mother" or the mother of them all, is our foundation Lowchen bitch at Seafever. At an early age she decided that showing was not her cup of tea and her time was better served as a brood bitch and ruling the household! In Layla's mind, she did not need "proof" that she is indeed a royal beauty! Layla obsesses a lovely head, sweet expression and excellent bone.

Layla has been a superb foundation bitch for Seafever Lowchen. To date, among her lovely get, she has produced "Delta", BOS Sweeps 2003 LCA Nat'l, "Sonic", WD 2005 LCA Nat'l, and "Haley", BOW and WB, respectively, 2006 LCA Nat'l and Regional, respectively, AOM Westminster 2007. Not only are Layla's get and now grand-get making a statement in the conformation ring, she has two promising agility stars as well. Layla has gifted her pups with all the important attributes of a Lowchen--beauty, intelligence and spirit.

We anticipate one last litter from Layla and will once again attempt a multiple sire litter with her--Wanted Karma Above and her grandson, CH Seafever's Killian Red are the intended sires. Layla looks forward to a well deserved retirement, steadfastly ruling the pack.

Ch Countess Dei Leona - "Tess"

Tess, is the first Lowchen in residence that was home bred. From a litter of three, she was the second champion of the litter. She early on let us know she considered herself royalty and carried herself so. Tess went on to do us proud at the Lowchen Club of America's 2003 National Specialty as Winner's Bitch and Best of Winners. She finished her championship a few weekends later with Multiple Best of Breeds in the process. Tess was exclusively handled by co-owner and handler, Frank Long III.

We laughingly refer to Tess as the most valuable Lowchen in the world or our million dollar baby. Her last attempted pregnancy resulted in a condition called pyometria, causing loss of her litter and kidney failure. Five thousand plus dollars later after a long recovery, we are happy to report a complete recovery. During her life saving surgery, we made the decision to spay Tess. While we had looked so forward to pups from Tess and her contributions to our breeding program, we are just grateful to have her here, healthy and happy. She remains here to insure the future pups of Seafever are raised in a proper manner.
